This uses an IP Address and port number as the communication interface to the RM. The IP address used can only be local address’s 127.0.0.1 to 127.255.255.255, on any unused port numbers, i.e. A session in Remote Manager must be setup with these details for communications to be successful.
Create an RM Galaxy session 1. Click on the Sessions menu item and select the New menu item. Remote Manager will display a new Session Configuration page 2. Give the new session a name by entering a name in the Session Name edit box 3. Then click on the Session Type drop down list box and select Galaxy Ip if you want Galaxy RSS to connect to a Galaxy panel or select Galaxy RRI if you want Galaxy RS S to handle incoming panel remote management connection 4. Click on the SSH Server 1 IP edit box and enter the IP address of PC that is running the SSH Server and WebWayOne’s Gateway application. Do the same for SSH Server 2 IP 6.
Click on the Save button. Click on the Modify button and the Edit properties button. If the session type selected is “Galaxy RRI” then the following form will be displayed. The client application connection details should contain its IP address (if running locally, then any 127 IP range will do) and the IP address port number.

7) If the session type selected is “Galaxy IP” then the following form will be displayed. 8. Select the Any IP address tick box and edit the Port Number to what you have chosen. 9. Make sure that you select the correct rule from the Rules for conversion of IP Address to Account Site ID list as it can depend on whether you are using the RM on an old system.
If you are unsure, please contact WebWayOne for help. 10. Make sure the Connection Mode is set to “Communicator”.
11. Click on the Accept button. 12. On the main display, click on the Save button. This session is now ready to run. Create a site in Galaxy RSS 1. Open up the Galaxy Remote Servicing Suite application and enter your user name and password. Click on Site and then on Add New Site. The following form will be displayed: Enter site details. Make sure the Control Panel Account Number is what is configured in the Panel and the WebWayOne Communicator.
When finished, click on the Next button. Enter details and then click on the Next button and the following form will be displayed: Fill in the Remote IP Address – of the control panel edit box with the local IP address associated with the account site id number.
Remember the IP address is created from using the local address range combined with the account site id number from the panel using the conversion rule selected in the RM. So with the Complex Rule selected, account site id 9865 is combined with the local IP address 127.x.x.x to make 127.0.98.65 (the 0 will be ignored). Edit the Remote Port Number edit box with the port number you have set the RM to listen on. 4. Select the correct Control Panel Type then click on the Next button and then the Finish button.
